This page covers how outr uses cookies and similar browser storage. It goes with our Privacy Policy.
The short version: one sign-in cookie is always on because outr cannot work without it. With your consent, we also use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used and advertising cookies to measure and improve our advertising. Nothing beyond the sign-in cookie loads until you allow it, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time.
What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file a website stores in your browser. Some are strictly necessary, meaning the site cannot work without them (for example, one that keeps you logged in). Others are non-essential, like analytics or advertising cookies. Browsers also offer other storage, such as local storage, which a site can use to remember things on your device.
The cookies we use
A sign-in cookie, always on. We set one strictly necessary cookie, the sign-in cookie that keeps you logged in. It is required to provide a service you asked for, so it is set without asking and you cannot turn it off while using outr.
Analytics cookies, only with your consent. With your consent, we use analytics cookies to understand how people find and use the site, so we can make it better. These are provided by a third-party analytics provider. IP addresses are anonymized for analytics.
Advertising cookies, only with your consent. With your consent, we use advertising cookies to measure how our advertising performs and to improve it. These are provided by a third-party advertising provider.
The analytics and advertising cookies are non-essential. They do not load at all until you allow them.
You choose, through the cookie banner
The first time you visit, a cookie banner asks what you want. It gives you an Accept all option and a Reject all option, shown with equal weight so rejecting is as easy as accepting, plus a Manage option if you want to choose analytics and advertising separately. Until you allow the non-essential cookies, only the strictly necessary sign-in cookie is set.
You can change your mind at any time through the Cookie settings option on the site, including withdrawing a consent you gave earlier. We remember your choice in your browser so you are not asked again on every visit; clearing your browser storage or using a different browser or device will bring the banner back.
Where things stand today. Until we switch the analytics and advertising tools on, the only cookie actually set is the strictly necessary sign-in cookie. When those tools go live, they will still load only after you allow them through the banner.

Browser local storage we use
outr also uses your browser's local storage to remember functional state on your device. These are not cookies, and they are never used for tracking or advertising. They stay on your device, and you can clear them any time through your browser settings.

Recipient-side email tracking
When our customers run outreach campaigns, opens and clicks on the emails sent to recipients may be tracked. That tracking is done by our email-sending provider on the sent campaigns, not by any cookie set by our website. It is separate from the cookies and storage above.
How to control cookies and storage
- Cookie settings. Use the Cookie settings option on the site to change or withdraw your consent for analytics and advertising cookies at any time.
- Sign out. Signing out clears your sign-in session.
- Browser settings. You can delete or block cookies and clear local storage through your browser settings. If you block or delete the sign-in cookie, you will not be able to stay signed in, and outr will not work as intended.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. When we do, we update the version and date above. If our use of cookies or storage ever changes materially, we will update this page and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.
