Refund Policy
Last updated 4 July 2026
This page explains when a payment for outr can be refunded and how to ask for one. It is part of our Terms of Service, and where a word is defined there it means the same here.
1. The rule in short
You get a 14-day money-back guarantee on your first subscription payment, and it holds only if you have not used any sending credits. That means no campaign has been launched and no emails have been sent from your account. Once you launch a campaign and emails go out, outr has been delivered and that payment is non-refundable.
The two conditions work together, not against each other. While outr is unused, you are covered: within 14 days of your first payment, if you have not launched anything, you can get that payment back. Once sending starts, the value has been delivered, so that payment can no longer be refunded. Both are true at the same time, and both are spelled out below.
2. What "sending credits used" means
You can design and preview a campaign before you commit to sending anything. Building and previewing does not use sending credits, and it does not affect your guarantee.
You use sending credits the moment you move a campaign from draft to active by clicking Approve and launch. That click reserves your plan's sending budget and starts sending emails to the recipients you picked. From that point on, outr has started performing and has delivered its core value.
In plain terms:
- Designing a campaign, seeing a preview, or saving a draft: no sending credits used. You stay eligible for the guarantee within the 14-day window.
- Clicking Approve and launch, or any emails going out from your account: sending credits used. That payment becomes non-refundable.
Nothing sends from your account until you review your campaign and click Approve and launch. Until you take that step, no emails go out and no sending credits are used, so your first payment stays refundable within the 14-day window.
3. How we check eligibility
We read eligibility from our own records. We check whether any campaign on your account has been launched (moved from draft to active) and whether any emails have been sent. If no campaign has been launched and no emails have been sent, and your request reaches us within 14 days of your first payment, you can have that first payment back.
If a campaign has been launched or emails have been sent, the first payment is payment for a delivered service and is non-refundable, even if the 14-day window has not closed.
4. How to ask for a refund
Email us at support@tryoutr.io within 14 days of your first subscription payment. Include the email address on your account and, if you have it, the payment reference from your receipt. We will check your request against the rule above and reply to confirm whether it is approved.
5. Timing and method
Approved refunds go back to your original payment method through our payment processor. We process them promptly once approved. After that, how long it takes to show up on your statement is down to your bank or card issuer, which we do not control.
Refunds are made in the original currency of the charge. We do not cover currency-conversion differences, bank fees, or exchange-rate movements applied by your bank or payment provider.
6. EU cooling-off right and how it works with this policy
If you are a consumer in the European Union or the European Economic Area (an individual buying outside your trade, business, or profession, which can include a sole trader acting as a consumer), you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for a distance contract: you can withdraw within 14 days without giving a reason.
outr is a digital service that begins performing as soon as you launch a campaign. Under EU consumer law you can lose the withdrawal right for a service once it has been fully performed, but only if two things happened first: you expressly asked us to begin performing during the 14-day period, and you acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed.
We capture both at checkout. Before you can complete your purchase, you confirm that you ask us to make outr available immediately and that you understand you lose your right of withdrawal once it has been fully performed. That request and acknowledgement are recorded at the point of purchase and shown on the checkout screens. By confirming and then launching a campaign, you agree the fee becomes non-refundable once sending begins.
Most of our customers are businesses, and the statutory consumer withdrawal right generally does not apply to a purchase made for business purposes. We do not assume every buyer is a business, which is why the express request and acknowledgement above are captured at checkout in every case.
Nothing here removes or limits a consumer right that cannot be waived under the law that applies to you. Where your local law gives you a stronger, non-waivable right, that right wins.
7. Chargebacks
If you think a charge is wrong, contact us first at support@tryoutr.io so we can sort it out. Opening a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer before contacting us can lead us to suspend or close your account while the dispute is looked into. Filing a chargeback does not by itself earn you a refund; the eligibility rule in this policy still applies.
8. What is not refundable
Except where the law requires it or this policy says so, these are not refundable:
- Any subscription payment for a period in which a campaign was launched or emails were sent.
- Add-ons already delivered or provisioned, including the branded-domains add-on once the relevant domains have been set up for you.
- Partial or unused portions of a billing period when you cancel. Cancelling stops future charges; it does not refund the current period.
- Payments after your first subscription payment. The money-back guarantee applies to your first subscription payment only.
9. Cancelling and auto-renewal
Your subscription auto-renews (weekly or monthly, depending on your plan) until you cancel. You see a renewal notice at checkout. You can cancel any time through the cancel option in your account settings or the billing portal. Cancelling stops future charges. Your access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you can resume before that period ends.
Cancelling to avoid a future charge is not the same as asking for a refund of a past charge. You can cancel any time; a refund of a payment already made is only available under the rule in this policy.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. For a material change we will update the version and date above and, where needed, take reasonable steps to tell you. The version in force when you paid governs that payment.
11. Governing law
This policy is governed by the law of the European Union and of the country where outr is based, without its conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws where you live.
